We are proud to announce that the group standard "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Household Power Line Communication Gateways" has successfully passed expert review. The standard was led by Beijing Gewu Century Technology Co., Ltd. and jointly drafted with Beijing Shenzhou-Tech (BST) and several industry leaders, including Xiaomi, Beijing Tonghe Shiyi Telecom Research Institute, and Weikai Testing Technology.

With the booming smart home industry — growing from ¥1.87 trillion in 2018 to ¥2.33 trillion in 2022—there has been a pressing need for technical consistency, especially in emerging areas like Power Line Communication (PLC) gateways. Until now, China lacked a dedicated group standard to guide the design, testing, and quality assurance of such products.

BST played a critical role in the technical drafting and test method design, leveraging our deep expertise in product testing and certification. Drawing on our industry experience and in-house laboratory capabilities, we ensured the standard is technically rigorous, practical for manufacturers, and forward-compatible for evolving smart grid and IoT applications.
